HAWKEYE DOWNS RACERS READY FOR WEEK FOUR OF THE 2015 SEASON

(Cedar Rapids, IA)—All five divisions of the Hy-Vee Racing Series return to action this Friday night at Cedar Rapids’ Hawkeye Downs Speedway. The historic speedway is celebrating its 90th year of racing and is Iowa’s only weekly asphalt track.

Barron Motor Supply Hobby Stocks, Mountain Dew Sportsmen, Miller Time Hornets, and Dublin City Pub Legends will battle for points on the quarter-mile while the Carpetland USA Late Models presented by Performance Concepts race on the fast half-mile.

Some interesting point battles are shaping up as drivers and crews head into the fourth week of the season but there are drivers in three divisions that have three-week win streaks on the line.

Nathan Ballard has three wins in Barron Motor Supply Hobby Stocks, Dave McCalla has visited victory lane three times in Mountain Dew Sportsmen, and Brady Fox-Rhode is three for three in Dublin City Pub INEX Legends.

Kurt Bohnsack has a narrow lead over Dallas Chandler  in Miller Time Hornets heading into Friday night. Bohnsack has won twice and Chandler once in that division.

There have been three different winners in as many weeks in the Carpetland USA Late Models presented by Performance Concepts as Griffin McGrath, Caled Adrian, and Tim Plummer have each collected winners’ hardware this season.
