IOWA DONOR NETWORK NIGHT AND THE MID-AMERICAN STOCK CAR SERIES THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!

JOEY GASE RETURN HOME TO HAWKEYE DOWNS!

(Cedar Rapids, IA  06/15/2016)—This Friday night marks week seven of the 91st season of racing at Cedar Rapids’ historic Hawkeye Downs Speedway. 

            This week is Iowa Donor Network Night along with the yearly visit from the Mid-American Stock Car Series. Hawkeye Downs Mountain Dew Sportsmen drivers will compete with the Mid-American Stock Cars  on the half-mile Friday night!  Bill Prietzel won the most recent MASCS event last Saturday at Jefferson Speedway in Wisconsin.

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Joey Gase also returns home to Hawkeye Downs Speedway in support of the Iowa Donor Network. Gase will also drive in the Performance Concepts Late Model division Friday night!

A limited number of Free VIP tickets are available for registered organ donors from the Iowa Donor Network. Email your name and the number of tickets you would like to Tony Hakes at thakes@iadn.org to RSVP yours. VIP tickets gives access to the party deck, complimentary food and beverages, pace car rides and autograph session with Joey Gase.

            In addition to the Mid-American Stock Car Series, A full program of HY-VEE Racing Series heat and feature racing is on the card as Performance Concepts Big 8 Late Models, Anderson Automotive Hobby Stocks, Miller Time Hornets, and Dublin City Pub  INEX Legend Cars will take to the track.

            Hawkeye Downs and Hy-Vee have again teamed up to offer a new and improved concessions menu this season along with the return of Pepsi Products for 2016. Your favorite adult beverages are available as well!

            The Dodge Street Tire Lil’ Racer Car Club has no formal activity planned for this week.

            The Front Gate and Concessions open at 6:00pm .  Pre-Race Ceremonies will begin at 7:20pm with the first race at 7:30.

Don’t forget “Happy Hour at Hawkeye Downs” with 2 for 1 Tallboys from 6-7pm!

.Adult admission (ages 18-61)  is $10, Senior Citizens (62+) are $7, Students (Ages 11-17) are $7, and Children 10 and Under are absolutely FREE with a paid Adult!
