Each year since 2017, Hawkeye Downs has allowed the fans to choice a driver they feel should be honored at the banquet as the “Fan Favorite”.
Have you ever wanted to drive a late model around Hawkeye Downs Speedway? The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience is giving you the chance next year on a special occasion. The Experience will be at Hawkeye Downs on Sunday, September 22nd.
After classroom instruction, you will be able to get behind the wheel for multiple laps around our historic track. Multiple days and options are available to be booked, but limited bookings are available.

The 2018 Racing Banquet is approaching, and in just over a month we will be celebrating our drivers and other honorees. This year, the Hawkeye Downs banquet will be held right here in our South Expo hall and we are excited. Our food and beverage team will even be providing the meal with a twist we believe people will love.
The staff and Board of Directors of Hawkeye Downs would like to invite you to the 2018 Hawkeye Downs Racing Awards Banquet scheduled for Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hawkeye Downs South Expo Hall.
A cash bar Social Hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. Dinner is at 7:00 p.m. and will include a buffet-style roasted pork loin, party potatoes, green beans, a roll, and various pies provided by our food and beverage team. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, water will be provided, and soda will be available for $1 each.
The awards program will begin at 8:00 p.m. Dress code will be business casual, no blue jeans, please.
Awards will be presented to the drivers in the top 10 in the point standings that competed in at least 66% of the season’s races in the 5 weekly divisions. Drivers must attend the banquet to receive your awards.
Tickets will be $25.00 in advance and must be purchased by Friday, November 16th, 2018. (It is important to us that you RSVP in advance so that we may prepare for everyone.) Tickets at the door will be $40.00 (cash only).
Please stop by the business office during regular business hours to purchase your tickets before it is too late (cash or check only).
