RECAP: Moyer Continues To Sweep Features
Back into the rhythm of weekly racing, all five of our regular classes were on show Friday, July 17th to put on a show for the fans.
While it looked like it was going to be Chad Siems’ day in the Sport Mods, a caution bunched the field back up late in the race. Siems then struggled with an issue and Jonny Williams was able to get his second win in a row.
No surprise to see Jim Hanson pull into victory lane in the Hobby Stocks, but it wasn’t without a fight from Jason Sherman who stayed on his bumper even after being passed.
For the third week in a row, we have a different winner in the Hornets Series. The top competition has been tight, and while it looked like Troy Scott would be taking it home, Lucas Foster made a last corner effort on the outside to claim the checkers.
The Sportsman Series continues to grow, but Braxton Franks continues to run from the show. Franks captured his third victory in as many races, besting Cory Houdek this time.
It was a wild race in the Legends Series, with 23 cars starting the feature. Tensions were tight up at the front of the field but it did not stop Aaron Moyer from making his way from 8th to get his 3rd win of the season.
This Friday, July 24th we will have a special $1200-to-win Sport Mod “Be a Hero 30” race plus AIRS Vintage Series, Sportsman, Legends, Hornets, and Hobby Stocks. NASCAR driver, Joey Gase, will be participating in the Sport Mod race.
