Results Announced Following Season Championships

Following an incident at the end of the Miller Time Hornets Series feature on August 18th, an investigation took place regarding multiple participants’ actions and behavior. July 14th Results- Casey’s General Store Night

(July 14th, 2017– By Caleb Slouha) After a week off, racing resumed at Hawkeye Downs for the Hy-Vee Racing Series which included the AIRS Vintage Cars for the second time this year. — Robin Atkins got a strong start to the AIRS race, but once Bart Miller made the pass to second just three laps in, he quickly caught up to the leader. With two to go, Miller took the lead, but Bobby Bryant came to a stop in turn 4 bringing out the caution. On the restart Atkins stays right in Miller’s tracks, but could not make the pass and Miller won the feature. — Drew Nickell, racing in the 2M car usually raced by Dallas Chandler, won the Miller Time Hornets feature after taking the lead from Elliott
