A new season. A new chapter. 101 years strong. 🏁 Join us at Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Friday, May 1st, at 7:05 PM as part of the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts! Don’t miss out on the live, loud, and local fan-favorite racing classes.
Gates open at 6:00PM. Tickets are available on My Race Pass or at the gate.

Midwest Pavement Grand Nationals
Saturday, May 2nd | 9:00AM
The Midwest Pavement Grand Nationals return to Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026!
This event highlights top-notch go-kart racing talent, promoting a sense of competition and community. Pit gates will open at 9:00AM for racers. Grandstand will open at 12:00PM for spectators. Racing will begin at 2:00PM with awards to follow.
Racing at Hawkeye Downs
For the last 100 years, Hawkeye Downs Speedway has been home to one of the most popular race tracks in Iowa. The track features ¼ mile and ½ mile banked asphalt ovals for weekly stock car racing, enduros, street drags, drifting expos, and more. Hosting Events at Hawkeye Downs Expo Center
From trade shows to annual meetings to auctions to weddings and beyond, the Expo Center is perfect for any event. Hawkeye Downs offers an event space with over 35,000 total square feet of temperature-controlled space for hosting events of all sizes. The Expo Center is located strategically near the highway with access to a variety of hotels and attracts over 100,000 visitors annually.
