The Hawkeye Downs Expo Center contains over 35,000 square feet of space and easy-access parking for your event visitors. It is the perfect event space for hosting your trade show, convention, auction, annual meeting, wedding reception, reunion, or other private event. If you don’t need all that space, the halls can be divided to accommodate your event needs.
With a variety of recent upgrades, the Hawkeye Downs Expo Center features clean and modern restrooms, concession stands with seating, and the ability to handle all of your electrical needs year-round. The facility is located within walking distance of multiple hotels with over 200 rooms. The Hawkeye Downs staff is happy to discuss any transportation, lodging, or dining needs to accommodate your organization.

Since early 1925, Hawkeye Downs has hosted events ranging from historic events like the All Iowa Fair to new, family-friendly events like the holiday laser light show. The North Hall (20,000 sq. feet) and South Hall (15,000 sq. feet) can be combined to provide you with a total of 35,000 sq. feet of space. Hawkeye Downs is proud to offer easy access to free parking for all events hosted at Hawkeye Downs Speedway and Expo Center.

The Cedar Rapids area is home to family-friendly sports teams, including the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders hockey. Outside of the busy city atmosphere, Cedar Rapids is home to beautiful, wide open spaces with a variety of outdoor adventures for your event attendees to enjoy.
With major interstates I-380 and I-80 intersecting nearby, Cedar Rapids is the perfect location to bring in attendees from all across the United States, expanding beyond the Midwest. Cedar Rapids is centrally located between major cities, like Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Omaha, and St. Louis. While drive times are short, flights are also very accessible. The Eastern Iowa Airport is the largest airport in the area with five airlines and more than a dozen non-stop flights. The airport just less than five miles from Hawkeye Downs Speedway and Expo Center.
