100 Years of Racing: Start Your Engines! 🏁

Join us for the kick-off to the 100th racing season at Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Saturday, April 19th! This event is FREE ADMISSION for fans of all ages.

Iowa Mustangs Unstabled will host its Cedar Rapids Cars & Coffee event from 8:00am to 11:00am. Enjoy food and beverages from Grind Coffee Co. This event is open to all makes and models. Be sure to invite every car and coffee lover you know!

Hawkeye Downs will host its ribbon cutting at 10:00am in Victory Lane on the track. 

Visit all of your favorite Hawkeye Downs racers in the pits until noon. You can check out their 2025 cars before they hit the track for “Test and Tune” practice laps and learn more about the upcoming NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series at Hawkeye Downs. Fans can watch the practice laps from the grandstand. 

There will be fun for the kids, including a temporary tattoo station, a crafts and coloring station, a selfie station, and more! 

Concessions will be available at the track with a limited menu.

INFORMATION FOR RACERS

In an effort to make our 2025 racing program the most memorable season yet, we will be taking pictures on Saturday, April 19th, at the car show and practice. These photos will be sent to the publisher so that this year’s program reflects current cars. 

If you are in attendance for the car show, your practice session will be FREE. If you cannot attend the car show but you’re still interested in the practice, the cost is $25.
