44 Laps for Harold Scott

We have a truly special race coming up on Friday, May 27th, 2022. As many of you know, we lost one of our own earlier this year, Harold Scott. Harold Scott and his family have been a long-time Hawkeye Downs supporter. In his memory, the Hornets will be racing 44 laps in memory of Harold.

In the Harold Scott Memorial Race presented by Sadler Power Train, the winner will be taking home a $444 payday. This will be a considered special event for the Hornets. We will award 20 points flat for all weekly drivers who attend. We are aware that this race will easily smoke a RF tire, so we will be increasing the payout throughout the top 20 by 115 to pay for this new tire.

To show our support, we will be fundraising with a goal to sell 43 laps at $44 per lap. The 44th lap will be reserved for Harold. We have opened up the laps to our racers first, but still have quite a few laps available for sponsorship. If you would like to sponsor a lap or get involved with this special event in any other way, please contact our team at Hawkeye Downs.

This will truly be an amazing night to remember Harold, and we cannot wait to see you all there!
