Hawkeye Downs Joins NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series in 2023

Hawkeye Downs Speedway and Expo Center is excited to announce that it will join the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series for the upcoming 2023 racing season!

“This is exciting for both our racers and our fans,” says Hawkeye Downs Race Director, Brian Gibson. “We’ve been looking at becoming NASCAR sanctioned for a while now. We’re excited to take this opportunity to benefit our racers as we move forward and inch closer to our 100th year of racing in Cedar Rapids.”

The benefits mentioned by Gibson include insurance for NASCAR license holders and additional point money. Information will be available in the coming weeks on our website.
