The Monsters of Destruction Event at Hawkeye Downs Postponed to Sunday Due Impending Inclement Weather Situation
Cedar Rapids, Iowa - June 21, 2024 - The highly anticipated Monsters of Destruction event, originally scheduled to take place at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, June 22, at 7:30 PM, has been postponed to Sunday, June 23, at 2:00 PM due to the impending weather situation.
Event organizers made the decision to reschedule the event in the interest of the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, participants, and staff. The decision was reached after monitoring the weather forecast, which predicts severe weather conditions that could pose risks to the event.
"We prioritize the safety and well-being of our attendees and participants above all else. Given the forecasted weather conditions for Saturday evening, we believe it is in everyone's best interest to postpone the event to Sunday," said Mike Moore of Events, Inc, producer of the Monsters of Destruction event.
The rescheduled event on Sunday will feature the same thrilling lineup of monster truck performances, high-octane stunts, and family-friendly entertainment that fans have come to expect from Monsters of Destruction. Gates will open at 12:00 PM for the Pit Party and Monster Truck rides with the main event starting at 2:00 PM.
Ticket holders for the original Saturday event can use their tickets for admission on Sunday. For those unable to attend the rescheduled event, refunds will be available upon request.
